2010 is well underway, and so far we’ve spent a majority of it in our poorly heated, but well ventilated and lit, practice space. We’ve been working day in and out on new songs and demos, and it’s hard to describe the creative vibe that’s been surging through the room these past couple of months. We’ve spent some time taking photos to document the process so we can show everyone where we spend our days, give you an idea of what our writing process is like, and show you a few other exciting things that can only be revealed in the form of a photograph.
The League of Handsome Gentlemen:

late for practice again. when will i learn!?
shane at the boards. or keyboard??? you decide.
who is this man of mystery?
some acoustic guitar to give the song that “cat stevens” feel
who’s this guy kidding, he’s the bass player!
that’s a fine headstock.
that’s an even finer bass.
Not actually Brendan, but a hand model in this classic shot.
Designer flannel at discount prices.
How many people does it take to do a volume swell?
George didn’t even realize the Snowman that took this picture was actually JD in disguise.
George practicing stage choreography.
Slow and steady our gear plots to attack us.
Wait! Shhh… Max will open the door telepathically if it takes him all day.
George’s candid shot sandwich starts here with the toothpick…
…through the bread again. Candid cheese sandwich.
He’s concentrating for a second… then he’ll dance.
Okay, now who’s the homeless guy on the computer?
A lyric sheet’s myspace picture.
George rocks so hard the computer always has latency problems after he records onto it.
Sooooo cold. Jackets are a must throughout the entire day.
In the prequel to this moment, George was asked if he was ready to rock. I think you know what the answer was.
How’d that get in there? This is how we do good one day, and remember how to the next. Shhh
Another drum myspace pic taken by the drums themselves. How narcissistic.
Who’s arms are those?
Oh. But who is that they’re attached to?
Really, who the hell is that? It’s starting to annoy me.
Maybe George knows but, he doesn’t look like he’s tellin’.
I asked Brendan, he just snubbed me.
Another trick… or just a mistake?
Shane contemplating his next move.
Now you’re just rubbing it in.
A guitar amp’s default Myspace picture.
Do we ever go outside? No, because it’s too cold.
All Brendan wants for his birthday is lumbar support:)
Now a Wawa coffee is playing the drums!!??! what kind of sick joke is this
JD checking stock reports, blue prints for tree forts and Custom moped imports. Or just ignoring the camera. Whatever but I bet it’s cool.
I heard he’s writing some of these picture quotes.
Brendan gives a lesson on how to mic air drums.
Have you been keeping track of all the coffee it takes to make it happen? You will not be quizzed, so forget I asked.
You will however have to make a flip book with all this pictures of this unnamed punk playing Max’s drums.
In the next instant we all were holding hands and smiling and having a time:)
You’d think Marshall was taking sponsorship pictures.
Inside that cat-scratch post is a picture of what’s behind it as if to Shane it’s not there at all.
Looks Shane needs to go Back to the Future!!!
Rorschach Ink Blot.
Back to the Future II. The one that takes place in North Philly.
JD is currently telepathically suggesting his ideas to Shane as he tracks his vocal parts. Multitasking!!!
IT WORKED!
I believe this is photographic evidence that the band’s “no-drinks-near-the-console” rule has been severely broken.
During downtime at practice, we all spend a lot of time bidding on a “Tonight Show” on eBay. Shane may or may not be winning.
Words with friends, play us by searching for “Joledo” or “OllieMac”
A ferocious roar is heard throughout Northeast Philadelphia.
Thumbs up to the handpainted snare drum, she’s a beaut.
Some days we like to stack all of our guitars together on the futon to remind ourselves of how good they look.
There’s a lot of focus in listening to Max hum drum parts, it’s taken more concentration than AP US history in 12th grade.
“Casual Friday”
Shane, working on our new song “The Love Bat”
The drums new default Facebook shot.
I challenge you, Ye Old Fisticuffs!

Ape Drums! There have been some crazy finds in the deepest, darkest corners of where we practice this week.
